Low point control
Consistent ball striking
In the last few issues of Finding the Tips, you’ve been given links to a number of instructional videos, as well as a link to a playlist that includes more videos that didn’t make the cut.
In this edition, we feature a series of videos created by TS Golf.
You’ll also find a brief playlist of other videos I’m sure you will find interesting and helpful. Let me know if I made the right choices.
The five featured videos give us all the tools we need to develop low point control. Armed with that skill, we are well on our way to shooting lower scores. Combine low point control with the ability to deliver a square clubface to the ball and we have shots that are both long and on-target.

Controlling low point
One of the most important skill to develop in golf is the ability to control the low point in your golf swing.
If you’re hitting irons, hybrids and even fairway woods, you want your swing’s low point to be on the target side of the golf ball.

With your driver, you want the low point to be behind the ball so that the clubhead can hit the ball off the tee on the way up.
Trevor Salzman of TS Golf has put together a five-part series that will train us to control the low point.
The five videos in the series are:
Each of the five videos are between nine and 13 minutes long. I urge you to watch them and follow the drills that Salzman gives you. You will not only learn to control your low point, you will also notice that your swing tempo is much better. These drills will help you take the rush out of your downswing.
This week’s playlist
The playlist this week features one of the longest drivers on the Ladies European Tour, instruction on how to set yourself up for success on the golf course and a third video that will show you how to turn your slice into a gentle draw.
Next week’s newsletter will be written and published in Friendly Manitoba, as I venture there to visit the grandkids for a week. Watch your inbox on Friday, April 4 at 7 a.m. EDT.
